Unable to verify phone number when signing up to Azure.

I'm trying to signup to the Azure Free Account, but I cannot verify my phone number (Indian Phone Number).

When I click on "Text Me", I get redirected to a page with the following message: "We're unable to validate your phone number"

Within the last 24 hours, I've tried to signup multiple times with different phone numbers on different browsers, devices and accounts.

Anyone else has this problem or knows how to solve it?

    Hi @Syed Sarmast ,

if you have problems with the phone validation in the Azure Account creation process please take a look here: Identity verification by phone

    Here are some additional information:

You can use any phone number for verification as long as it meets the requirements. The phone number that you enter for verification isn't stored as a contact number for the account.

    • A Voice-over-IP (VoiP) phone number can't be used for the phone verification process
    • Check that your phone can receive calls or SMS messages from a United States-based telephone number.
    • Double-check the phone number that you enter, including the country code that you select in the drop-down menu.
    • If your phone doesn't receive text messages (SMS), try the Call me option.

Source: No verification text message or phone call

Make sure to select the right country code in the drop-down and enter the phone number without the country code.

One option might be to call Microsoft's Global Support: Global Customer Service phone numbers

Maybe they are able to help.

Another option might be to give it a try with using a smartphone or a different device and a "private/incognito window" of the browser to get the registration/validation done.

I've noticed a couple of questions/threads related to this issue in the past. But none of them gave an answer how to fix this or if it was fixed at all.
