Update to Windows 11 24H2 failed with error 0x80070002

When I tried to update to Window 11 24H2 the update failed and when th PC was rebooted it started in Dual Screen mode. The following is from the log. How do I recover from this and update to 24H2?

2025-01-26T21:20:51.4433333+00:00 Firstly my PC has an AMD Ryzen 7800x3D CPU, ASUS X670E mobo, 32Gb DDR5 & Ge Force 4080Super GPU so is well equipped for Windows 11 which it has been running fine for over a year. The problem has only come about when attempting to install the update 24H2 which had been delivered via the update system. Ive already tried the first two ie running troubleshooting, ran sfc and DISM.

Obviously, this thread has nothing to do with Microsoft Configuration Manager, a tool for IT stall to manage thousands of client computers in automated way, for example, imaging OS, install application in batch and silently.
This problem is pure single computer upgrade failure issue. For this problem, it is suggested to remove the third-party antivirus software (if there is any), reboot the computer and try again. In addition, disconnect the computer from Internet may be the safer choice during upgrade process.
