Using the BitLocker Recovery Key to Unlock Your System
- When Prompted for the Recovery Key:
• If your system asks for the BitLocker recovery key, enter the 48-digit key you saved earlier.
- Unlocking from Command Prompt:
• If you need to unlock the drive from the Command Prompt, use the following command: manage-bde -unlock X: -RecoveryPassword YOUR-48-DIGIT-KEY
Replace X: with the drive letter of the BitLocker-encrypted drive and YOUR-48-DIGIT-KEY with your actual recovery key.
If you saved the recovery key to your Microsoft account, you could find it by signing in to your Microsoft account.
