@Carolyn DiGiacomo - Thank you for the clarification! My apologies, for the previous information. Microsoft has indeed retired the eDiscovery Core section and moved to a new compliance experience. Here's the updated process for exporting a specific email folder using Microsoft Purview:
Steps to Export a Specific Email Folder using Purview (New Interface):
Sign In to Microsoft Purview - Go to the Microsoft Purview portal and sign in with an account that has the necessary admin permissions.
Navigate to eDiscovery - In the left-hand navigation pane, click eDiscovery > Content Search.
Create a New Search: Click on + New Search at the top of the page to create a new content search.
Define Search Criteria - In the Locations tab, select Exchange mailboxes. Choose Specific mailboxes and then select the user whose email folder you want to export. To search a specific folder, in the Advanced options section, use the Search query field and specify the folder by adding a search filter for the folder you want (e.g., "folder:Inbox"
).
Run the Search - After configuring the search criteria, click Search to start running the query.
Export Search Results - Once the search is complete, you will see the results. Click on Actions and select Export.
Configure Export Options - Choose your preferred export format, such as PST or eDiscovery Export File. You can also choose whether to include metadata or additional options like items from the folder or subfolders.
Download Exported Data - After the export is completed, you’ll be provided with a link to download the export file.
