the standard server license has unlimited containers; does this allow for unlimited containers in a VM as well?

eg Host with Server 2025, 2 hyper-v vm, multiple containers running in VM

the license language is not clear if this scenario is supported.

Windows for business | Windows Client for IT Pros | Storage high availability | Virtualization and Hyper-V
Windows for business | Windows Server | User experience | Other
Windows for business | Windows Server | Devices and deployment | Licensing and activation

    Hi Lance Kujala,

In each Windows Server Standard VM, you can run unlimited non-isolated Windows Server containers as well.

    Best Regards,

    Thanks for the response Ian.

Is there any "documentation" you can point me to that backs up your answer?

Microsoft will occasionally do audits of my systems, so when that happens I need something in writing from Microsoft that this is acceptable usage under the terms of the EULA.
