How can we recover an orphaned Azure DevOps dashboard which was associated to a team and later the team got removed and the dashboard got it orphaned state and is unclickable and can be seen by owner only. Also how can we recover or restore it or add its widget to existing team?

    Hi @ishan saxena ,

First, as the owner of the dashboard, you should still be able to access it via its URL even though the team has been deleted. Once you have access to the dashboard, go to the Board Settings. Under the Backlogs section, you can select the backlog that the new team will manage, such as the MT Stack Backlog or another relevant backlog and reassociate the dashboard with the new team.

If widgets from the original dashboard are missing, you can manually restore them by adding them back through the "+" icon or reconfiguring them on the board. Additionally, modify the card fields, styles, and annotations in the Cards section to better suit the new team’s needs. To check the new team has the appropriate visibility and access, configure the Boards > Columns and Swimlanes to display relevant data and adjust the Working Days to reflect the team's schedule, as this impacts sprint capacity and burndown charts.

Finally, Check the new team has permissions to access and edit the dashboard, and add the dashboard to their favorites for easier access. Once these changes are made, save the configuration, and the orphaned dashboard should be successfully restored and reassigned to the new team.

    Hope it helps!
