You can disable synchronization from the service side, no need to perform anything on your DC or local environment. The corresponding steps can be found in this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/enterprise/turn-off-directory-synchronization?view=o365-worldwide
remove adconnect synchronisation
Hello
I have a hybrid environment between Active Directory onpremise and Azure.
Adconnect is installed on an onpremise DC server. This is the only DC I have onpremise.
It turns out that this DC server has degraded and I can't turn it back on.
Now I have in Azure synchronised users from a DC onpremise server that is no longer running and users created directly in Azure.
Taking advantage of the fact that the onpremise DC server that contained AzureConnect will not start anymore, I want to move everything to Azure without having a synchronization with AD onpremise.
What can I do to stop this synchronisation so that it does not affect the synchronised users?
