Erland Sommarskog 134.7K Reputation points MVP Volunteer Moderator2025-02-08T20:19:08.17+00:00 In the folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\nnn\Setup Bootstrap\Log there is one folder per installation attempt. The files of most interest are summary.txt and detail.txt. nnn here is a number, depending on which version of SQL Server you are trying to install. For SQL 2022, it is 160.
Also, did this happen on your first attempt, or have you tried to install multiple times?
