Iv finally spoken to a human via chat support. The answer is you need to wait 30 days and than reset your pw.

The sign in helper also wanted me to use Microsoft Authenticator to log in, which I don't have access to.

This is false. If you lost the 24 character key and say factory reset without knowing any if your passwords i think you are stuffed as that's what I did and no help from them at all. It's just infinite loop of ai links that end in failure.

That's the big question! I've now spent 10 days attempting too it. The ai links fail and there is zero human support in place to help us. This company isn't very good with no human support to rescue us.

Last, when microsoft ask my phone number to join me, it says that they can't join me through that number. I'm almost regretting purchasing this microsoft app some weeks ago. I thought Microsoft was the best.

Same problem, kind of Catch 22. This has happened to me before and it got solved after four (!) phone calls with Microsoft's support. However the main issue remained and this time I can't find a way to make such contact.

The only reason I was able to finally get past this is because I was trying to log in to a work account, so my IT team reset something from the inside out.

I have the same problem. It's an endless loop. After the Account Sign-In Helper for work and school accounts allowed me to change my password, then when I attempted to log in, it still required me to use the Authenticator app. I replaced my phone and did not know to disable that device on the app and delete the app from the phone. Now I have no way of getting in.

The answer provided by Drew above is "valid" if you merely wish to reset your password.

However, if the link between your 365 Account and the MS Authenticator app is broken there appears to be no solution.
You cannot login (no code from the App) - I am getting fed up of being directed back to the password reset page.
So, try ringing for help ~ you are directed back to on-line help ~ guess what, cannot login so it is unavailable.

Microsoft really need to allow contact with a human being so they can understand the question and provide the answer ~ their AI bot does not appear to understand.
