How to upload my data in the launch lab in Microsoft Power BI Associate course

After downloading the file, it won't upload into the launch lab, I tried it on my Power BI Desktop it won't, but whenever I try downloading the csv file into the lauch for in the exercise given it won't work.

In the "Prepare Data in Power BI Desktop" virtual lab, I was able to complete the steps using the SQL query.

However, the next part of the exercise, getting data from .CSV, I was not able to access the downloaded/extracted files on the local machine from the lab environment, as shown in the attached screenshot.

We tested the steps on our end, and it is working fine. Please ensure you have followed the instructions carefully: after downloading the ZIP file, extract it to the correct location (C:\Users\Student\Downloads\01-prepare-data).

Then, follow the steps in the lab instructions to access the CSV files. Kindly refer to the screenshot for guidance. User's image

The confusion arose from the instruction to "Open a web browser and enter the following URL to download the zip folder:" I did so in the host, rather than in the virtual machine. The instructions for SQL data worked. When it came time to work with .CSV files, the files weren't available on the virtual machine.

Clarifying the instructions to specify "Open a web browser in the virtual machine..." would eliminate this confusion.

Thank you for your patience. The issue occurred because the ZIP file was downloaded on the host machine instead of the virtual machine. To fix this, please open the web browser inside the virtual lab environment, download the ZIP file, and extract it to C:\Users\Student\Downloads\01-prepare-data. This will ensure the CSV files are available in Power BI Desktop.
