Is it possible to have multiple organisation asset libraries in different SharePoint sites?

Note that this not 100% true: if your tenant has multi-geo capabilities enabled, you need to create one site collection per geo, and create the asset libraries in each site collection. Otherwise users in geo A will not be able to view or use assets located in a SharePoint site in geo B. This is not documented anywhere but this is the behavior we have experienced.
