Having issues with emails not appearing in the sent items for both a Gmail and Exchange account. This problem arose suddenly without any changes made to the setup. Using Outlook as part of Office 365 on a desktop and Samsung Email on a phone. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Are the sent items showing in webmail - gmail.com and outlook.office.com ? They should be, because Gmail saves all messages sent though their servers. However, you can set classic Outlook to not save sent items.

If yes, it's a sync issue. The messages should sync when you select the Sent folder. Do you have any send / receive or sync errors? Did you try repairing your account or removing it from Outlook and adding it back.

    Hi @DebraH

    Thanks for your reply!

What is your account type (POP/IMAP/Exchange)?

    Are there any rules?

    Try these possible resolution steps:

Check Account Settings: Ensure that your email account settings are configured to save sent items in the "Sent Items" folder. You can do this by going to File > Options > Mail and making sure the "Save copies of messages in Sent Items folder" option is checked.

Folder Visibility: If the "Sent Items" folder is not visible, you can search for it by typing "Sent Items" in the search bar at the top right corner of the Outlook window. If the folder exists but is hidden, it should appear in the search results. You can then right-click on the folder and choose "Show in Folder Pane" to make it visible permanently.

If the problem persists, try creating a new profile to check if there are any discrepancies.
