Xbox 360 not reading any discs at all

Question

Hello, my Xbox 360 S isn't reading any game discs after using it for a year and a half without any issues. It says "reading disc" whenever its inserted into the console, then after about 3 seconds it goes back to the "open tray" message. I have already replaced the laser with a brand new one so I have no idea what else could possibly be the issue here.
