Hello David Captur,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A and thank you for posting your questions here.
I understand that you are having issue with GPT-4o not showing up in Cost Analysis.
Thank you for your patience. Since you have confirmed that requests for GPT 4o appear when filtering by model name but do not show costs in Azure Cost Analysis, to address this issue directly:
- Azure Cost Analysis sometimes has a delay of up to 24–48 hours in reflecting new charges. Please check again later to see if the costs for GPT 4o have appeared. Unlike GPT 4 Turbo and GPT 3.5, GPT 4o may have a different cost tracking mechanism in Azure. The costs could be batched or aggregated differently.
- Sometimes, if a model is running under a free tier or trial usage, it may not immediately appear in cost tracking. Verify your Azure OpenAI subscription type in the Azure portal: Go to Azure OpenAI Service > Usage + quotas > Check if GPT 4o is being billed differently.
- If the cost for GPT 4o still does not appear after 48 hours, you may need to open an Azure Support ticket under Cost Management & Billing to check if there is a known issue with tracking GPT 4o cost. https://portal.azure.com/#blade/Microsoft_Azure_Support/HelpAndSupportBlade
I hope this is helpful! Do not hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions or clarifications.
