I am experiencing the following issues

  1. authenticator app approval phone login turned off

My account is set up as a passwordless account with Microsoft authenticator enabled, and when I recently used the authenticator app to approve a login, I was prompted to re-enable the phone login, but I didn't make any changes to the settings, so I don't know why this feature was turned off automatically!

  1. I tried to enable it and got stuck in a dead loop

I clicked restart to enable phone login, it prompted me to access sensitive information, I need to verify my identity, but I still need to authorize by approving the login, there is no way for me to authorize on this page, and even if I go back to the home page, and the authorization pop-up window appears, and I clicked allow, it still prompted me to re-enable the phone login, and then I was stuck in a dead loop, and I couldn't turn on the phone login function normally!

  1. Send request page selection can not use authenticator application problem

If I select I can't access my microsoft authenticator app on the send request page, it will redirect me to the reset password screen, I have a passwordless account and don't want to set a password, so this doesn't work either!

Attempts made so far:

Re-downloaded Microsoft authenticator, cleared cache and retried, removed two-step verification and no password login from Microsoft account, Microsoft authenticator login permissions and re-added and the problem still exists!

My guess: Since I didn't have this problem on my old android phone and ipad, I suspect it's due to Android 15 (AOSP15)/Xiaomi HyperOS (2.0) system and app incompatibility

I still can't find a way to enable the phone login feature, please ask the engineers in the community to help me see what I can do about it, thanks!
