Unable to fetch the documents with .tif, .msg, .png, .jpg, .jpeg or image type extensions etc. where mandatory metadata is missing

Hi,

We are unable to fetch the documents in the SPO document library using graph search api where documents are having .tif, .msg, .png, .jpg, .jpeg or image type extensions etc. and mandatory metadata is missing but .pdf, .doc and .docx is searchable using graph search api even the mandatory metadata is missing. Could you please help here on the same?

    What mandatory metadata you said are missing? Could you please give an example? You said you use the Graph Search API, can you provide some screenshots of that process?

    There is currently no official statement on this situation.

    Unfortunately, I have tested and discussed with colleagues in the Graph group. The conclusion is that the results of this API are unstable, and the forum has received many posts about this recently. This is beyond the scope of the forum, so we recommend that you go to the Microsoft 365 admin center to report this issue as an admin. Or you can contact Microsoft directly. The support team over there has the correct escalation channel, they can involve more resource and investigate the behavior from back end as fast as possible.
