Just recently when i receive a pptx or docx attachment via outlook it won't open. PowerPoint & Word open fine.

Message says problem with content & points to an \inetcache\ directory which does not exist offers me a repair/cancel - click on repair & new message saying can't read.

Can open file from email on a windows 10 laptop & copy file which opens ok on windows 11 PC.

So my email is looking in the wrong place - is it somewhere different in W11 vs W10

Thanks

    Hi @John Kinnier

In both Windows 10 and Windows 11, the Internet Cache or Temporary Internet Files are stored in the directory. However, the exact path might differ slightly depending on the version and configuration of your system.

What is the version of Outlook you are using?

If you're using the classic version, try the following settings:

Please open PowerPoint and select File >Option > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Protected View > Uncheck 'Enable Protected View for Outlook Attachments' option> OK > OK. to check there is any improvement.
