I recently needed to get a new phone since the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth just stopped working out of nowhere. I tried to take it in to get fixed but they said they didn't have the part and it was backordered and didn't know how long. I decided to get a new phone and went thru the process of moving/signing in everything but forgot about Microsoft authenticator. I went thru and had my number changed to an eSim so the new phone could be used immediately. my old phone is basically a brick right now. I didn't think I would run into issues since I had to work on so many authenticator issues recently due to my work moving carriers and upgrading phones. I was having to go into Entra to delete other user's old authentication devices so they could set up their new authentication devices. I was disabling/enabling/enforcing and requiring new contact methods be provided that it was easy. I go to do my phone in Entra and when I get to authentication methods, my screen does not look like everyone else's. I don't have the option to delete my old phone. I clicked on the require re-register multifactor authentication, but it fails. I clicked on the access panel profile link which takes me to the security info setting of my account where it shows my authentication methods as if a regular user was doing it. I was showing 2 different authentication methods, so I tried to delete them both but only 1 went thru. I get a message that there was a problem deleting the authentication method. I was able to add my phone number in there since I did not have that set up before so I can still authenticate via that method. How do I get this authentication method deleted so I can move forward with adding the account in my app?User's image
