I`m learning about Microsoft 365 MS900 and in a module in Microsoft Learn I am supposed to create a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription but it says: Thank you for joining. You don't current qualify for a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription.

How can I learn about using Microsoft 365 if I can`t access it?

This question is related to the following Learning Module

if microsoft wants support engineers to learn support and promote thier products the should have a method of doing hands on learning. I have a personal family license of 365 but want to work to get my MD 102 designation I dont need office I need to be able to onboard and off board users and computers as well as work with AAD and AD to sync the two break things and fix them etc

shame on Microsoft for making this so difficult

    Hello,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A,

This situation has arisen to you due to recent changes in the Microsoft 365 Developer Program's eligibility criteria.

    Current Eligibility Criteria:

As of February 2024, Microsoft has limited access to the free Microsoft 365 E5 developer subscriptions. To qualify, you must be:

A developer or part of an organization with an active Visual Studio Enterprise subscription.

A participant in specific Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Programs.

For detailed information, refer to the Microsoft 365 Developer Program FAQ.

    Alternative Learning Resources:

If you don't meet the current eligibility criteria, consider the following options to continue your learning journey:

    1. Microsoft 365 Training Center:
      • Access a wide range of free training modules and tutorials covering various Microsoft 365 services.
      • Visit the Microsoft 365 Training Center to explore available resources.
    2. Microsoft 365 Trial Subscription:
      • Sign up for a free trial of Microsoft 365, which typically lasts 30 days.
      • This trial provides temporary access to Microsoft 365 services, allowing you to practice and familiarize yourself with the platform.
      • Be aware that a subscription fee is required for continued access after the trial period.

Note: Microsoft is piloting a new verification process to expand eligibility for the developer subscription. While this process is underway, access is primarily limited to the groups mentioned above.

Disappointing to say the least that a sandbox is no longer available. I'm trying to stay fresh with my skills between jobs and can't, because my M365 subscription is employer-based, so I no longer have one. It seems pointless to subscribe and pay for something that I'll very soon have reinstated by my next employer for free. Surely there's a place for folks like me that just need a small tenant with <5 user accounts for testing.

I have the same issue… It’s so sad that Microsoft isn’t solving old problems but is instead concentrating on introducing new tools. You follow all the steps they give, and you still end up in the same place. Support is also useless - they just tell you to contact another department, and then the next one, and so on…
