Unable to make calls from Teams Desktop version as I dont see the 'Call' button (it is visible on the Web app)

On Settings > Devices > Audi Settings, I can see my speaker/ microphone configured. But when I make a test call, I get the below message on the desktop app ... strange !

"This feature isn't available yet for your browser. Try the web app with Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, or switch to the desktop app."

I have tried to reset & re-install the app, but issue is not resolved. Please help

According to your case description, the call button is missing in your teams. The first thing we recommend is to try to log in to Teams Web using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome to see if "calls" is displayed normally.

If everything is normal on the web page, the problem occurs on the client.

Please try to clear the Teams cache:
Search for "calls" in the sidebar More apps to see if calls is unpinned by mistake.
Contact the administrator to ask whether the application policy has been changed in the management center to remove the calls app of the organization members.

@Anonymous Yes you are right, 'Calls' is visible and working good in the browser mode, the problem is only with my client. None of the co-workers within my org, have reported this issue so far.

1)I have cleared the Teams cache by following both the methods 1 & 2 listed by you, but still the issue persists on the client.

Calls is visible on the side bar

If it helps, I was using the Teams Classic version initially , which seemed to work fine. Post the update I am unable to make calls from the client

I have downloaded the app again and installed it,

New Version Installed :

You've got the latest version. It was last checked on 2/25/2025.

The client version is 49/24120100213.

No luck :(

According to your case description, you had an error when making a test call in Teams, and you have tried to clear the cache and reinstall Teams. And your problem only occurs in the client, the web client and other colleagues' clients are all normal.

We recommend that you try to change another device to see if this problem still occurs. If only your device has a problem, you may need to report the problem here and submit the log file, or contact phone support, who has more resources to analyze your log file to help you with the cause of the problem.
