Two-Factor Authentication Loop After Disabling Authenticator App

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue logging into the Azure portal. I've followed the troubleshooting steps outlined in this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/archive/msdn-technet-forums/c04a9e6c-9bd0-43b2-80f9-2399242b3f92 but haven't been able to resolve it.

The problem revolves around two-factor authentication (2FA). Even after disabling the Microsoft Authenticator app from my account's security profile, the Azure portal login still prompts me for 2FA verification. This creates a frustrating loop.

Here's a breakdown of the scenarios I'm encountering:

Scenario 1: Authenticator App Was Previously Enabled (But Not Working Now)

Option 1 (Authenticator App Still Installed): The Authenticator app is installed on my phone, but I'm not receiving any "Approve sign in" notifications.

Option 2 (Authenticator App Still Installed): When prompted for a verification code, the Authenticator app does provide an 8-digit code, but this code is not accepted by the Azure portal login.

Scenario 2: Authenticator App Disabled

I have explicitly disabled the Microsoft Authenticator app from my account's security settings. Despite this, the Azure portal login still requires me to verify my identity using the Authenticator app or a verification code. Since the app is disabled, I cannot provide either, and I am stuck in an infinite loop.

This issue has been blocking me from accessing my Azure subscription for a week. I urgently need assistance. Please provide any possible solutions or escalate this issue to someone who can help me regain access to my Azure portal. I am available by [Please specify preferred contact method, e.g., phone or email] if necessary.
I am unable to login into my azure portal but I am able to access outlook mail.
I had taken azure subscription in the past and now aiming to resume same.
