New Teams app automatically zoomed in my camera, No zoom controls

About 10 days ago, noticed my own desktop Teams camera view is zoomed in to about 200 or 250%. Result is a pixelated image.

Deleted Teams data. No change.

Uninstalled Teams. Reinstalled. No change.

Upgraded to Win11. No change.

Camera works normally and looks wonderful in everything else, (Zoom, Meets) including Teams for the browser. I'd just use the web version, except it doesn't give me the option to use our own background.

Camera is a CA Essential 1080p Webcam. It's worked wonderfully for over three years until this problem started.

Going into camera settings, the zoom control shows no level and is greyed out when I go to the device settings in Teams.

Need to figure out either how to zoom it back out for Teams or how to use a custom background for the web version. (No "+" shows in the background option so I'm limited to the MS options)

    Hi @Charles Sandy

According to your case description, the camera automatically zooms in in Teams and there is no zoom control.

Please try the following steps in order:

    • Clear Teams cache: User's image
    • Check device driver: Update your camera driver to make sure it is compatible with Teams. You can find the camera device in Device Manager, right-click and select "Update Driver".
    • Restart camera: Try to reconnect your camera to the device. Or manage the device in Teams settings. User's image

If the problem persists, you can provide feedback in the Teams application. Select "Feedback" and then "Report a problem".

Thank you for your understanding and support.
