Hello, I need to delete an old account from Authenticator for Android, but there is no delete option when tapping on the gear wheel icon, only on option to rename the account.

Hello Jeremy,

I hope you are doing well, try to log on the old account also son time from the app you must long-press the account name to delete it.

Method : If it’s a work or school account, you may need to remove it from your Microsoft account portal:

Go to https://myaccount.microsoft.com/.

Click Security & Privacy > Additional Security Verification.

Under Authenticator App, remove the linked account.

Try deleting it from the app again.

Hello, I have the same problem. Account cannot be deleted from the Authenticator app. I am not able to login to the account and unlink the app, because mentioned account is no longer active in the organization. How do I proceed from this point?

Ive beed performing a lot of testing in Skillable labs, as well as Learn Sandboxes, and Azure for students. I used my own Authenticator APP for bougus accounts, and now the Tenants are no longer there, why prompt for a password to remove an account from the list in the app? There must be some way to remove accounts that no longer exist on a domain service directory?
