My workmate had created a onedrive group, share folder, and set pemission for other workmates.

Recently one of the members open file with office 2016 and edit it as usual, but the permission become read only suddenly, she can't edit it.

However if she open the file with office 365 on the browser, she can edit it normally.

I have already tried to remove and grant permission again, also I have try to reinstall Onedrive but still fail.

May I know any method to fix?

    Hi,

Did the user get any error message when open the file in desktop Excel?

Did the problem only appear in specific file or all files?

I suggest you check the file properties, please Right-click on the file in OneDrive- Select Properties- Under the General tab, make sure the Read-only attribute is unchecked.

You can also try to unlink and relink OneDrive: Click the OneDrive icon in the taskbar- Go to Help & Settings- Settings- Under the Account tab, click Unlink this PC- Sign in to OneDrive again and let it sync.

Just checking in to see if the information was helpful. Please let us know if you would like further assistance.
