Right click in PowerPoint and select Excel object -->Worksheet object -->Open, but Excel application is not opened and PowerPoint does not respond.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Hi @Aarav Singh
I need more information for better analysis:

    • Is there any error message when this issue occurs?
    • Can embedded objects of other formats be opened, such as Word document?
    • May I ask what version of Office you are using and what is the Windows system version number?
    • Were any changes made before the issue occurred? For example, install third-party COM add-ins, update Windows, etc.
    • Do all embedded Excel workbooks have this issue when you open them, or is it a specific Excel file?
    • Is there an external monitor connected to the computer?

I suggest you open the Excel application first, and then try to open the embedded Excel file from the presentation.

Besides, please perform an Online Repair for your Office.
