Single Sign On MyApps to SharePoint 2019 with onPrem Active Directory

Question

I am looking for clarity what is possible to achieve SSO from MyApps into a SharePoint 2019 OnPrem environment.

Here is our current setup.

1. OnPrem Active Directory syncing to Entra
2. SharePoint 2019 OnPrem using onPrem Active Directory
3. Entra App Proxy is setup and working
4. MyApps applications created setup passing through the App Proxy

I have successfully followed the example found here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/saas-apps/sharepoint-on-premises-tutorial,

The result was an "Entra User" (******@domain.org) being passed into the SharePoint OnPrem environment, rather than the Active Directory OnPrem User (username), which SharePoint interpreted as an entirely different user.

My desire is that I will login to MyApps, click on my SharePoint 2019 Application and will be logged in to SharePoint 2019 with my onPremise Active Directory user.

Is that possible? If so, how?

Hi @SH ,

After my internal and external searches, there is currently no way to log in to SharePoint 2019 via MyApps using a local Active Directory user domain\user. Everything you can try so far results in logging in with ******@domain.org.
