Group migration - Access Denied

We are in the process of migrating users and groups to our parent domain. Many users and groups are migrated. For some groups, when we migrate using the ADMT tool, we get an error message like " ERR2:7422 Failed to move source object 'CN=xyz. hr=0x80070005 Access is denied. "

All the groups are universal groups.

ADMT Tool is running on a Windows Server 2012 standard OS. I assume it is not related to permissions of my account because i was able to migrate many users and groups using the same AD account.

Can someone assist please ?

Thanks

    Hi Srijith Jayarajan,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community Forums.

"ERR2: 7422" indicates that migration fails when ADMT attempts to migrate an object with child objects.

For example, if object A has a child object B, then object A cannot be migrated directly, resulting in the error. The child objects (also known as leaf objects) must be deleted before the parent object can be migrated.

You need to find the parent object pointed to in the error message and delete its child objects completely before attempting to continue the migration.

There is a related reference document here that explains the error.
