Is anyone with Windows 11 Enterprise 22H2 or 24H2 having issues connecting to a wireless display (Surface hub)? While testing I noticed there are no issues to Windows 10 enterprise 22H2 or Windows 11 Enterprise 21 H2 and 23H2.

i dont get the Cast option with the Windows Button +K, nor can i add or connect to a wireless display. I can add my TV to my bluetooth devices, but can not connect.

I don't have an answer, but I have a similar problem. After installing Windows Pro 11 24H2 on my laptop, I tried to connect to a TV that previously connected many times in the past. It connected for a minute, then dropped the connection. From then on, every time I try to connect to the TV using Cast, it finds the TV. I get the message on the TV that it is trying to connect, then it fails, with "Can't Connect" on Cast. I have a Windows 10 laptop which connects fine. I did a factory reset of the TV, which was a real pain, but that did not resolve the issue.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community forum.

You can try the following steps to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Make sure your Windows 11 device supports Miracast. To check on your PC, press the Windows logo key + K. If your device does not support Miracast, you may see a message stating that you need to use a cable to connect an external display. Also, verify that Miracast is turned on. If your wireless display does not support Miracast, you will need a Miracast adapter (sometimes called a converter) that plugs into an HDMI port.
    2. Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on and that all devices are on the same network. To do this on your PC, select the Network icon on the far right of the taskbar and then check the Wi-Fi quick Settings.
    3. Make sure your device drivers are up to date and that you have the latest firmware installed for your wireless display or adapter. For instructions, see the support information on the manufacturer's website.
    4. Restart the PC and wireless monitor.
    5. Remove the wireless display and reconnect it. To remove a device, open Settings, then select Bluetooth and Devices > Devices. Under Wireless displays and docks, select the wireless display or adapter that you want to remove, and then select Remove device. After that, try to reconnect.

    I hope this helps.

    Did not help.

I have the same issue with win11 home on a laptop HP up to date with wireless Realtek RTL 8821CE 802.11 ac, and MSDisplayAdapter F8. I have the issue since several months. Before it was ok. My other laptop ASUS Vivobook, updated as well, connects OK.

The HP and MSDisplay_Adapter F8 just seem not to understand each other. Both hang. Seems to me some wireless or display option, or a problem with the driver of the Adapter (Driver Realtek 2024.10.228.9).

Any suggestion? Are there actions I could do to record somehow the error?
