    Hi There.

Just an update on my situation:

Had exactly the same issue as you, that's how I found your thread.

So, my issue was a dumb one, and if you lucky so is yours.

After hours of testing and checking and continuous Access Denied messages and concerned work mates. I remembered that I created a group policy for no USB or external storage device access... Oops... Seems that policy blocked way more that it should have.

Turns out, that was my problem. 🤦‍♂️

Exactly the same symptoms as what you are reporting here... Removing that policy sorted my issues out. Got full access to my drives now.

Perform a check disk on your G: to see if that will rectify the problem. If that states everything is okay and you are still unable to access the drive, consider viewing and resetting the file/directory permissions.

    Hi Sharafat,

    Hope you are doing well.

    1. Open cmd as administrator and run the following command:

    sfc /scannow

    1. When the problem occurred, were there any errors reported in the event log?
    2. Make sure that the account logged in to the current server has full control permissions on the disk.
    3. If the drive contains encrypted files, decryption issues can cause access problems. Decrypt any encrypted files or folders on the drive.
    4. In addition, you can also try to remount the disk to try to solve the problem.

Remember to back up any critical data before attempting these steps.

    Best Regards

I am trying chkdisk with elevated mode but still getting this error.

And trying to change security permission to Administrator but not able.

By default it was set to "SYSTEM".
