Microsoft Edge - Group Policy to Disable Password Manager + Disable Wallet

Hi Team

Running Remote Desktop Server (Server 22)

Edge Version: 1.3.185.21

I am having issues with Group Policy and the inbuilt Wallet.

I have told edge to disable the password manager, and I have told edge to not allow saving passwords for a specific URL

In Wallet, I can attempt to add a credit card, it shows the popup to add a card, and will go through the process to add, but it won't save (this is fine)

However, I can also add a password. Only one. But, this will allow me to save a password for the URL that I have listed above

Is this a bug, or have I missed something in GPO?

This is a screenshot after adding the website to the PW manager - The yellow block is where on my machine I have the option to add a password, so that (GPO to prevent password addition) works fine.

    Hello Saulius,

Thank you for posting on the Microsoft Community Forum.

There seems to be a conflict between the Group Policy settings and the functionality of the Wallet feature. If you can confirm that the Group Policy is in effect, then it's likely that the functionality of Edge is limiting the Group Policy settings you're trying to configure.

This conflict should be inevitable, involving the underlying code design of Edge, and cannot be resolved.

    Best Regards,

    Neuvi Jiang

Is there any GPO to disable the wallet feature entirely?

It's only, ever, going to get worse... as they're plugging more things, into things. Like, there is ABSOLUTELY NO NEED to have this "wallet", as part of anything. What is it, a password app /manager? (doesn't rly matter, rhetorical question)

Cool, so, it's a software program to install - or, NOT TO INSTALL, and never use, right? Yeah, well... that's not what Micro$oft is doing; so, we get headaches - and frustration - and wasted time (and time is money), and for NO reason, whatsoever.

Other than their agenda(s), which they're pushing onto us, relentlessly. Blah, I don't know... like, if there weren't the LTSC versions Windows; for sure, then, more than 100% I wouldn't ever be booting Windows. Guaranteed. Aanyway :)
