Does microsoft licenced products protect users data from being alterated by applying certain date and time modifications without a backup on their servers?

If does not, can i try to solve this problem in a small apartment with a old computer using a copy of windows downloaded from Microsoft webpage ?

I got certain doubts regard the nameservers and link to original microsoft sites.

This without involving Microsoft copyrights and the fact that i am not a Microsoft employee.
