OS Windows 11 64, start up Bit Locker was on screen. Can not seem to get recovery key because I can not access my recovery key and if I could the screen where I am to type in the key is frozen.

Is there any way I can prevent this from ever happening again

    Hi Poppa1,

to prevent this from happening again, it's important to make sure that you have a backup of your recovery key in a safe place, such as a USB drive or a printed copy.

As for your current issue, if the screen where you are supposed to enter the recovery key is frozen, you may need to restart your computer and try again. If that doesn't work, you can try accessing the recovery key from another device that you have linked to your Microsoft account.

    Hope it helps.

    Best regards,

    Lei
