Hello ,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.
Based on your description, here are some possible solutions:
- Make sure your Windows 11 computer is on the same network as the router. You
Open "Settings" > "Network & Internet" > "Status" and confirm that you are connected to the correct network.
Make sure the network type is set to "Private network", which can be found in the "Network & Internet" settings.
- Make sure the USB drive on the router is shared correctly. You can log in to the router's management interface and check the USB sharing settings. Make sure file sharing is enabled and there are no access restrictions set.
- Try to map the network drive using the router's IP address instead of using the computer name.
- Windows Firewall may block access to the network drive. You can try to temporarily disable the firewall to see if you can successfully map the drive.
- Make sure your network adapter driver is up to date.
Right-click the "Start" button and select "Device Manager".
Find "Network Adapters", right-click your network adapter, and select "Update Driver".
- Make sure the relevant Windows services are running. You can press Win + R, enter services.msc, and then check if the following services are running:
Server
Workstation
If these services are not running, you can right-click and select "Start".
- Finally, have you updated your system recently? Which version did you update to? If none of the above methods work, it is recommended that you roll back to the previous version and try to update again when a new patch is released.
I hope the information above is helpful.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.
