Hello ,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.
Based on your description, here are some possible solutions that may help you solve this problem:
- Windows may turn off the USB port to save power. This setting may cause USB connection instability. Open Device Manager, find Universal Serial Bus Controllers, right-click each USB root hub, select Properties, and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power in the Power Management tab.
- Although you have tried different cables and computers, there may be a problem with the USB port itself. Try using a different USB port, especially the one at the back, which usually provides more stable power.
- The settings of your iPhone may affect the stability of USB tethering. Make sure your iPhone is not set to automatically disconnect in certain situations. Make sure that Low Power Mode is not enabled on your iPhone, which may affect the stability of USB tethering. You can check in Settings > Battery.
- Windows' network settings may affect the stability of USB tethering. Check the settings of your network adapter to make sure there is no conflict. In Windows 11, you can try resetting your network settings. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced Network Settings > Network Reset. This will reset all network adapters and restore default settings.
- Make sure your network adapter driver is up to date. You can find the network adapter in Device Manager, right-click and select Update Driver.
- Sometimes firewall or security software can interfere with network connectivity. Try temporarily disabling these software to see if the problem is resolved.
- Use Windows' Event Viewer to see if there are any errors or warnings related to USB connections.
If possible, try connecting your iPhone to other Windows 11 devices to see if the same problem occurs to determine if the problem is with a specific computer.
I hope the information above is helpful.
