Hello,
This seems to be a permission issue. To check and troubleshoot permission issues:
- On both ends (print server and client computer), open Windows Explorer and right-click on the printer that you want to check. Select Printer Properties from the context menu.
- Click on the Security tab and look for the user or computer account that you want to check. If you don't see it, click on Add and type the name of the user or computer account in the Enter the object names to select box. Click on Check Names to verify that you entered the name correctly and click on OK. Make sure that there are no entries with Deny checked for any permission. If there are, remove or modify them as needed and apply the changes. Deny rules take precedence over allow rules and can block users from printing even if they have Print permission.
- Check and modify the permissions for the user or computer account as needed. The permissions are:
- Print: Allows printing documents to the printer.
- Manage this printer: Allows changing printer properties, sharing the printer, pausing or deleting print jobs, and managing documents.
- Manage documents: Allows pausing, resuming, restarting, canceling, and rearranging print jobs.
- Click on Advanced to view more options. You can change the owner of the printer, edit permissions for individual users or groups, or apply permissions to subfolders and files.
Regards,
Karlie
