Hi,

I am facing with our new Dell server is getting hung in between and every time I need to restart the Server which is not the right to restart server. Also the Server get hung or blank screen appears. I want to know what would be the reason. OS is Windows Server 2022 Std. It is a One year old new server and Windows OS Server, Dell team checked and told there is no issue with the server and told to check with Microsoft OS.

Please guide me to resolve the issue without reinstalling the OS.

Thanks,

Hello

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum!

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem without reinstalling the OS:

Check for Updates: Ensure that your server has all the latest Windows updates, including cumulative updates and patches. Sometimes, these updates can resolve known issues.

Review Event Logs: Check the Event Viewer for any critical errors or warnings that might give you more insight into what is causing the server to hang or display a blank screen.

Memory Check: Perform a memory diagnostic to rule out any issues with the RAM. Faulty memory can cause system instability.

Clean Boot: Try performing a clean boot to see if the issue is caused by third-party applications or services. This can help isolate the problem.

Safe Mode: Boot the server in Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. If the server runs fine in Safe Mode, it could indicate a problem with a driver or service that runs during normal operation.
