Hello.

I have just got an iPad Air. I want to connect to my office computer with Windows Remote Desktop App. I configured it and I am able to connect if I am in the office. But I can't connect from my home while I am using a VPN. I tried different VPN applications. VPN connection is OK. Can you tell me what's wrong? Is it related with security settings of iPad?

    Hello,

I suspect this issue is primarily due to the settings on your VPN, particularly the split tunnel feature. When split tunneling is enabled, only specific traffic is routed through the VPN, while other traffic bypasses it. Although I'm not a network expert, I recommend consulting with your VPN provider to learn how to disable split tunneling. Additionally, it would be beneficial to carefully review the IP details on both ends of the connection when using the VPN.

As a test, you might also try disabling the Windows Defender Firewall to see if it resolves the issue.

    I hope this information helps.

    Best regards,

    Karlie Weng

    Hi Karlie.

I can connect from my notebook without any problem. I assume my desktop PC and our VPN server settings are correct.

    Disabling MS Defender didn't work.

No. iPAD doesn't have the same app. I am using different one on iPad with the same settings. I am able to connect via VPN but can't login to my desktop. Login credentials are shown, then waiting with a message saying initializing.

If you were able to enter your login credentials successfully, then it seems the issue is not related to the connection. Could you please provide the full error message you received? Additionally, did you see the Windows login screen with a blue background?
