Custom mouse buttons Autodesk Inventor

I am using a 'Classic Intellimouse' and have downloaded the 'Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Centre' to change the small side button to shift.

The button works on everything apart from Autodesk Inventor (on a previous computer it did work). Not sure whether this a Microsoft or Inventor problem.

Just wondering if anyone could help.

Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

Based on the description, I understand your question is related to mouse button.

The cause may be the compatibility of the mouse button with Autodesk Inventor, this need contact Autodesk support for further assistance.

You can also try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Make sure that the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center is up to date.
    2. Try to assign a different function to the mouse button and check if it works in Autodesk Inventor.
    3. Check if there are any updates available for Autodesk Inventor and install them.
    4. Try using a different mouse to check if the issue persists.

If the issue still persists, you may contact Autodesk support for further assistance as they are the experts in their software.

    Have a nice day.

    Best Regards,

    Molly

I have the exact same scenario as you. I assume it has to be an Inventor problem, though I don't know of any 'enable custom key binds' option within Inventor. Have you found a solution yet?
