Good Day All,

Is there any way to see storage logs or some sort of storage tracking on a windows pc or server? I have a server that is running one service and everyday some storage is used up and I don't how it's happening because I am not doing anything else on it. So, I would like to find out what app is doing this and where the items are being stored.

    Hello

Yes, there are several ways to track storage usage on a Windows PC or server:

WinDirStat: This is a free tool that can provide a visual representation of your hard drive usage. It can help you identify which files and folders are taking up the most space.

Storage Reports Management in File Server Resource Manager (FSRM): This feature in Windows Server allows you to schedule periodic storage reports that can help you identify trends in disk usage. You can generate these reports on demand.

System Monitor: You can create an alert in System Monitor to track free disk space.

Event Viewer: Windows logs a lot of information in the Event Viewer, including information about the system, security, and applications. You might be able to find information about your storage usage here.

Resource Monitor: This tool provides real-time monitoring of CPU, disk, network, and memory usage. You can use it to see which processes are using the most resources.
