I am having a problem with Windows Defender on Windows Server 2016 Datacenter not working. It is something with the Windows Defender service not wanting to start. Do someone know what this could be?

    Hello,

One possible reason could be that there is conflicting security software installed on your PC. You can check for this by opening the 'Task Manager' and navigating to the 'Startup' tab. Look for any suspicious software that might be running. If you find anything suspicious, disable it from the 'Startup' tab and also terminate it from the 'Processes' tab.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, you can try three additional workarounds mentioned in the accepted answer of this thread: WINDOWS DEFENDER ERROR CODE: 0X800705b4 - Microsoft Community.

    I hope this information helps.

    Best regards,
