I want to rip a new CD to WDMycloud, via Media Player. When I try to add a location where to store this new CD (rather than 'music'), I click on network, but Media player cannot see anything on my network including WDMycloud. However, wthin explorere, when I click on network I can see everything including WDMcloud. Help !

    Hello,

Based on my understanding of your issue, I suggest you try the following steps to troubleshoot:

    1. Open the Control Panel on your computer. Go to Network and Sharing Center. Click "Change advanced sharing settings" on the left sidebar. Make sure network discovery is turned on. Also, make sure file and printer sharing is enabled.
    2. Press Windows key + R, type services.msc and press Enter. Find the service called Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. Right click on it and select "Restart".
    3. Firewall or anti-virus software may prevent network discovery. Temporarily disable the firewall or anti-virus software to check whether the problem is related to the firewall

    Best regards

    Zunhui

Thanks. I tried that but not solved the problem. I can see my network fully via explorer but not via media player! I cannot change the file to where I want to rip my new cd from 'music' to wd mycloud, which is on my local network.
