Windows server 2012r2 Update Error Code 8024402f

No firewall, no gpo's open to internet. When I click on windows updates I get the 8024402f error message. I've also gone through articles to rename softwaredistribution and catroot2 folders to no avail

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

also when i open browser (ms edge) and go to https://windowsupdate.microsoft.com it get this error
