    Hello  wiston jeffrey,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

There are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue of Secure Boot being disabled in Windows despite being enabled in the BIOS. Here are some methods to troubleshoot and potentially fix the problem:

    Check Windows Secure Boot State

First, double-check the Secure Boot state in Windows to make sure it’s indeed off. You can do this by using the "System Information" tool:

    1. Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
    2. Type msinfo32 and press Enter.
    3. In the System Information window, look for the "Secure Boot State" item. If it says "Off," then Secure Boot is indeed disabled.

    Ensure UEFI Mode is Enabled

Secure Boot requires UEFI mode. Ensure your system is booting in UEFI mode rather than Legacy/CSM mode.

    1. Restart your PC and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
    2. Look for the Boot section.
    3. Make sure that UEFI mode is selected, not Legacy or CSM.

    Reset BIOS/UEFI to Default Settings

Sometimes, custom settings in the BIOS can interfere with Secure Boot.

    1. Enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
    2. Look for an option to reset to default settings, often called "Load Optimized Defaults" or something similar.
    3. Save changes and exit.

Clear Secure Boot Keys and Reload Factory Keys

Clearing and reloading Secure Boot keys can sometimes resolve issues.

    1. Enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
    2. Navigate to the Secure Boot section.
    3. Find an option to "Clear Secure Boot Keys."
    4. After clearing, select the option to "Install Default Secure Boot Keys" or "Restore Factory Keys."
    5. Save changes and exit.

    Update BIOS/UEFI Firmware

Sometimes the issue could stem from a bug or an outdated BIOS/UEFI firmware.

    1. Visit the Biostar official website and check if there is an updated BIOS/UEFI firmware for your motherboard model.
    2. Follow the instructions provided by Biostar to update the BIOS/UEFI.

Reinstall Windows with Secure Boot On (Last Resort)

If all else fails, you might consider reinstalling Windows. During installation, make sure Secure Boot is enabled in the BIOS.

If you still experience issues after trying these steps, it's possible you may need to reach out to Biostar support or consult your motherboard’s manual for further guidance. There could be a more specific setting or compatibility issue at play.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Haijian Shan

    Hello  wiston jeffrey,

    Thank you for your reply.

If Secure Boot still shows as off:

    1. BIOS Update: Ensure your BIOS/UEFI firmware is up-to-date. Visit the Biostar official website and follow their instructions to update your BIOS if an update is available.
    2. Contact Support: If after updating the BIOS and reinstalling Windows the problem persists, it might be best to reach out to Biostar's support for further assistance. There could be a hardware compatibility issue or a specific BIOS setting that needs adjusting.

Secure Boot issues can sometimes be nuanced, involving specific hardware configurations or firmware versions, so professional support may ultimately be necessary.

    Best Regards,
