    Hello,

The error message "The remote connection was not made because the name of the remote access server did not resolve" typically means that the client computer cannot translate the server's name into an IP address.

First, you can check the DNS settings. Ensure that your computer is configured to use the correct DNS server.

You can check this by going to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings > Right-click on the VPN connection > Properties > Networking tab > Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) > Properties > Use the following DNS server addresses.

Additionally, please confirm the server name and IP address. Perform ping tests to your default gateway and VPN server address. If you only get high packet loss when pinging the VPN server, the issue is on the provider’s end.

Besides, double-check the configuration of the VPN client. It might be missing the required routes or proxy settings to communicate with the server. For more information, please refer to this article: https://www.technewstoday.com/the-remote-connection-was-not-made-because-the-attempted-vpn-tunnels-failed( Please note that the website is not the official website of Microsoft, pay attention to screening information when browsing )

Windows Defender Firewall might cause this error by blocking the VPN connection too. Try temporarily disabling Windows Defender Firewall and see if the error persists.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards
