Hi,

I am having difficulty in referencing a backup file from a remote desktop sever to another remote desktop. I need to restore a database in remote desktop server which has the backup file in another remote desktop server. I have admin control over the main system and the other two remote desktop. I am mostly having trouble referencing the file path in the In the "Select backup devices" window.

    Hi Edwin,

What if you try locating the file by going to the exact location of the backup file on the first remote desktop server. Then, from there, consider creating a shared folder on the first remote desktop server where the backup file is located. This will make it easier to access the file from the second remote desktop server.

Log in to the second remote desktop server using Remote Desktop Connection. If you've set up a shared folder on the first remote desktop server, you can access it by typing the shared folder's path in the File Explorer address bar (e.g., \\first_server_name\shared_folder). Copy the backup file from the shared folder to a location on the second remote desktop server where you intend to restore the database. You might copy it to a temporary folder for now.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks,
