    Hello,

Check if you can find the remote desktop connection app in the system file C:\Windows\System32\mstsc.exe.

If the MSTSC app is listed there, you can manually associate it with .rdp file.

    1. Right-click on any .rdp file.
    2. Select "Open with" and then choose "Choose another app".
    3. If the desired application (e.g., Remote Desktop Connection) is not in the list, click on "More apps", then scroll down and click on "Look for another app on this PC".
    4. Browse to the location of the executable for the application you want to use to open .rdp files, typically found in C:\Windows\System32\mstsc.exe.
    5. Once you've selected the correct executable, check the box that says "Always use this app to open .rdp files".
    6. Click "OK". Now, all .rdp files should be opened with the chosen application by default.

    Regards,

    Karlie
