Which synchronization? Azure AD Connect sync?
In that case which version are you running? if it's version 1 this could be an issue.
Have you tried canceling and running again? maybe a full sync?

My last sync happened 3 days back and the synchronisation is stuck at delta import and the stus shows in progress from 3 days
