Unable to Log Into Azure

I just signed up for an Azure subscription, and upon trying to log in, I'm unable to access the Azure portal. I get an error message saying "Sorry, but we're having a hard time signing you in"

After getting this error many, many times, an error page appeared to give me the following information:

Request Id: e84fed57-aa2b-4737-8191-9ca41c0b9700
Correlation Id: 81ec0ddf-c36f-4caf-b28b-0d68a75ef35f
Timestamp: 2024-08-21T23:47:58Z
Message: AADSTS200122: Invalid WS-Federation message. wtrealm parameter is required.

I don't understand what this is. All I'm doing is trying to log into my account. I can log in elsewhere with my Microsoft account (hence why I'm able to post this question) but as soon as I try to log into Azure it won't work.

    Hi Kyle Hochdoerfer,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community Forums.

Here are some possible steps to fix it:

    Clear browser cache and cookies:

Sometimes an old browser cache or cookie can cause login problems. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then try logging in again.

Use a different browser or privacy mode:

Try signing in to the Azure Portal using a different browser (e.g., switching from Chrome to Firefox) or a browser's privacy mode (e.g., Chrome's No Trace Mode). This helps to troubleshoot browser-specific issues.

    Check the Azure AD configuration:

If you are an Azure AD administrator, check for any recent changes that may have affected the sign-in process. In particular, check any configurations related to SAML or WS-Federation to make sure they are correct.

Check custom domain and federated authentication settings:

If your organization uses custom domains or federated authentication (e.g., ADFS), make sure these settings are correct. wtrealm parameters are often associated with these settings.

    Check Azure support or documentation:

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you may need to contact the Azure support team. Before contacting support, have your subscription ID, request ID, and related IDs ready so they can help you faster.

    Check network settings:

Make sure that your network connection is not blocking or modifying Azure AD login requests. Sometimes, firewalls or proxy servers in your company's network can interfere with the sign-in process.

    Use the Microsoft Authentication app:

If you are experiencing issues on your mobile device, try using the Microsoft Authenticator app for multi-factor authentication to see if you can bypass the issue.

    Check account status:

Make sure your Microsoft account is not locked or suspended. You can check your account status on the Microsoft Account website.

    Best regards

    Neuvi
