I using a VPN software【 motion pro 】 for RDP on SurfaceProX , motion pro and VPN both show "connected", But when I active windows RDP and connecting to our LAN VM IP , it's showing the tipycle error like 1) Remote access to the server is not enable 2)......,just like out of vpn.

So I do some problem shooting as blew:

  1. ArrayVPN motion pro SSL VPN is the our company's asigned vpn software, so I can't switch to another one.
  2. I have trying two model, SurfaceProX (Arm) and Surface laptop go (i5), both win11 home、same software、same IP, the Surface laptop go (i5) RDP are work as usual, but SurfaceProX are not.
  3. Some people saying that SurfaceProX maybe Windows Arm build problem, but I use it RDP without vpn, and it works ok.
  4. Another people saying that maybe Windows 11 23h2 build problem, so I downgrade to Windows 10 22h2 right now, it's use more smoothly by the way, but still not solving my RDP problem.
  5. Now I am 80% confident about, maybe ArrayVPN not support SurfaceProX's Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X24 network card, but searching about SurfaceProX + motion pro on the internet, there are no such question or discussion about it.

hoping that does anyone can give me some advice?

    Hello,

Based on the situation you mentioned, here are some possible troubleshooting steps:

    1. As you speculated, the problem may be related to the hardware compatibility of the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor on the Surface Pro. It is recommended to contact ArrayVPN's technical support directly to confirm whether Motion Pro fully supports ARM-based devices, especially the specific network card of Surface Pro. If possible, you can temporarily use other VPN tools to test whether you can successfully connect to the VM via RDP to determine whether the problem is specific to ArrayVPN Motion Pro.
    2. Check the RDP settings again to ensure that the RDP settings are correctly configured on both the Surface Pro and the Windows Server of the target VM. Please check that the firewall rules of the Surface Pro and the VM allow RDP traffic to pass. And, check the network settings of the Surface Pro to ensure that RDP traffic is correctly routed through the VPN connection. It may be necessary to adjust advanced settings or routing rules in the ArrayVPN client.
    3. Update your Surface Pro X operating system, ArrayVPN Motion Pro client, and all related drivers (especially network drivers).

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Jacen Wang
