Optical drive not been seen by Windows

We recently a new Precision 5860 for our medical facility. After installing GE software on this system, Windows is unable to detect any of the optical drives, including those on our Epson Dis PP-100III.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

Based on the description, I understand your question is related to drive.

Check if the optical drives are properly connected to the system and are receiving power.

Check if the optical drives are enabled in the BIOS settings of your system.

Check if the optical drives are listed in the Device Manager of your system. If they are not listed, you can try scanning for hardware changes in the Device Manager.

Try updating the drivers for the optical drives from the manufacturer's website or through Windows Update.

Also, you can try uninstalling the GE software and see if the optical drives are detected by Windows.

    Have a nice day.

    Best Regards,

    Molly
